What is it? TERRAGAZE mobile is a portable geologic/geotouristic guide running on hand-held devices.
Hardware: TERRAGAZE mobile runs primarily on GPS-enabled devices, but it can be ported to mobile phones, portable media players and PDAs.
Displayed information: texts, audio and visual information.
GPS-support: when the visitor reaches a geologic point of interest, specific information is automatically displayed (if the device is GPS-enabled).

November was a special month for science in Lisbon: UNESCO Portugal organized an exhibit in "Knowledge Padillion" TERRAGAZE was there, in the stand of Geopark Naturtejo, presenting virtual-kayaking in the Tejo river.
Many people crowded the TERRAGAZE application, trying to paddle as fast as possible and, at the mean time, learning about the extraordinary geology of the Tejo river.

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest hosts the exhibit “From Trilobites to Man: 500 million years in the Geopark Naturtejo". The goal of the exhibit is to show the active tourism spirit of the Geopark and, at the same time, to explain the geologic heritage of the Geopark. How to give a kayak ride with geologic explanations? How to explain trace fossils? The answer is TERRAGAZE.
"From Trilobites to Man" is a creative show in which the visitor is the main star.The visitor takes profit of virtual reality to explore the most important geomonuments of the Geopark Naturtejo. Each geomonument is a new adventure: seven stations take the visitor inside the wilderness of the Geopark.
